Lockpup

Lockpup Support

Lockpup (formerly AppLock) locks your apps, hides your photos and files, and shows you who tried to get in.

Please include your iPhone model, iOS version and the app version (Settings in Lockpup, at the bottom). We usually reply within 2 business days. You can also send feedback from Settings in the app.

Subscriptions and purchases

What does Pro include?

Unlimited locked apps, schedules, photos, videos and albums, plus hidden files, intruder photos, the calculator disguise, all secret app icons, Strict Mode and a decoy passcode. The free plan stays free forever with 3 locked apps, 1 schedule, 10 photos and videos and 1 album.

How does the free trial work?

The yearly and monthly plans include a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. You won't be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Each Apple ID can use the trial once. Lifetime is a one-time purchase and has no trial.

How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Lockpup, then Cancel Subscription.

Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so we can't cancel them for you.

I paid but don't have Pro, or I got a new iPhone

Open the paywall in Lockpup and tap Restore. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy. If it still doesn't work, email us.

How do I get a refund?

If something isn't working, email us first. We can usually fix it quickly. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple, so we can't issue refunds ourselves. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Common questions

Why does Lockpup need Screen Time permission?

Apple only lets apps lock other apps through its Screen Time framework. Lockpup gets anonymous tokens, not app names, so we can never see which apps you use or lock.

I forgot my passcode

Your passcode never leaves your iPhone, so we can't see or reset it. If Face ID or Touch ID unlock is on, you can still open the app with it. Otherwise, deleting the app removes its locks, but it also permanently deletes everything in your vault. If Strict Mode is on, wait until it ends.

A locked app opened without asking for my passcode

Check that the app is still switched on in the Locks tab and that Screen Time permission is on (iPhone Settings → Screen Time). If you picked the app a long time ago, remove it and add it again. If it keeps happening, email us.

Are my photos and files uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything in your vault stays on your iPhone and is excluded from iCloud backup. Export anything you want to keep before deleting the app. See the Privacy Policy for details.
